Terms of Use

Last updated June 2026

These terms cover your use of HotBox during our pilot. They're written plainly; a fuller agreement will replace this before public launch. By using HotBox you agree to them.

Who can use HotBox

You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding agreement. One account per person. Don't impersonate others.

Be decent

HotBox is a shared space. Don't harass, threaten, or post illegal, hateful, or sexual content involving minors. Don't spam, scrape, or try to break the service. We can suspend accounts that do.

Your content

You own what you create. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service (showing your messages to the people you're talking with, etc.). Channels are ephemeral by design: when a channel ends, it stops accepting new messages.

No warranty

HotBox is provided “as is” during the pilot. We do our best, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for indirect or incidental damages to the extent the law allows.

Changes

We may update these terms as HotBox grows; we'll note the date above. Questions: hello@hotbox.app.
