Staying safe on HotBox

HotBox is for meeting people by doing something together. That only works if it feels safe. Here's how we keep it that way.

18+ only

HotBox is for adults. You confirm you're 18 or older at sign-up, and we're building toward stronger verification before public launch.

Real-time moderation

Messages are screened as they are sent — in channels, in circles and in direct messages — and anything that trips the harmful-content filter is held back before anyone sees it. There is no AI in the channel with you: nobody at the table is a bot, and nothing reads your chat to advertise to you.

Report & block, from anywhere

You can report or block anyone from inside a channel or a conversation. Blocking ends the connection immediately and keeps you from being placed together again.

Your profile stays yours

Until you and someone both choose to keep each other, only your name, headline and city are shared. Your photo, bio and links stay private.

Use the in-app report tools, or email safety@hotbox.app. Every report goes to a person, who can suspend an account.
