About HotBox
HotBox is a place to do something together with people you haven't met yet. You say what's on your mind, and you land in a live channel already talking about it — a quiz, a watch party, an argument, something built badly and fast. The talking takes care of itself.
Why channels end
Every channel is temporary by design. Rooms that never close fill up with people who stopped showing up, and the cost of walking into one gets higher every week. Ours wind down while they're still good, which is what makes the next one easy to join.
What you keep
The people. Add anyone mid-channel; when it's mutual, you're friends and you can message them directly or pull them into whatever you start next. A channel worth keeping can graduate into a circle — a small persistent group owned by the people who were in it, not by us.
How we think about safety
Small channels, real accounts, and moderation that acts on the room rather than on a report queue. If something goes wrong, you can leave, report, or block from inside the channel — see Safety for what we do about it.
Where we are
HotBox is in closed pilot: 18+, free, and rebuilt often. Things move, break, and get better. If something feels wrong, tell us — during a pilot that's the most useful thing anyone can do.
